Small Business Persons of the Year for Honolulu County

We are honored to announce that Doctors of Waikiki have been named the 2023 Small Business Persons of the Year for Honolulu County by the Small Business Administration (SBA). This prestigious award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our staff, the trust of our patients and families and the support of our community. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the SBA for recognizing our efforts and congratulate our fellow Hawaii small businesses.

At Doctors of Waikiki, we are committed to providing access to care for all, and we are proud to have extended hours, never closed or modified hours during Covid, and are open every day including all holidays. Everyone is welcome at Doctors of Waikiki - E Komo Mai!

SBA Award Presentation with Mayor Rick Blangiardi & The Senate

The first SBA Award presentation was held on May 3, 2023, at Honolulu Hale (Honolulu's City Hall). Mayor Rick Blangiardi presented each award winner with a proclamation on behalf of the city, recognizing their outstanding achievements and contributions to the local community. Later in the day, all the honorees gathered at the State Capital, where the Senate presented each attendee with another award. Senator Sharon Moriwaki (Waikiki district) presented Doctors of Waikiki with the award, which he graciously accepted on behalf of Doctors of Waikiki. LT. Gov. Sylvia Luke was also in attendance and took part in the ceremony, congratulating the winners and posing for photos. It was a proud moment for Doctors of Waikiki to be recognized for our commitment to the community.

SBA Award Gala at Cafe Julia

The final SBA Award ceremony took place on May 4, 2023, at Cafe Julia in downtown Honolulu and it was a night to remember. All the awardees gathered to mingle, talk story and celebrate small businesses in Hawaii. The attendees were presented with awards by Hawaii's SBA district officers in recognition of their contributions to the local economy. It was an honor for Doctors of Waikiki to be among the celebrated small businesses and be a part of such a meaningful event. The ceremony marked the conclusion of a wonderful award week celebrating Hawaii entrepreneurs and local small businesses, and it was a fitting tribute to the hard work and dedication of all involved in supporting the community.
